One of the core technologies of GMM, since the 1970s, has been the development and the manufacturing of dedicated products and solutions, for several different radiological applications.

In the following years GMM continued its activities in this field, making its know-how available to its partners and transferring to them some of the technologies and the experiences acquired over the years.

In 2007, the management decided to start the components business, specifically the monoblocks and the generators for different destinations of use. For this purpose an important Asian company (from IMD group), manufacturing monoblocks, was acquired.

After some time, also availing itself of the long lasting partnership with an European partner, GMM started an ambitious process, involving significant economical and human resources investments. Such process was aiming at range diversification, in terms of technological and production applications and performances, to acquire a precise and independent connotation.

As a result thereof and through the recruitment of specifically skilled personnel, GMM has established  a new division, called Merate Power. This last, with the introduction of the LAURUS range, is launched on the market and gets its first successful results.

Today, the LAURUS portfolio includes a wide range of cutting-edge monoblocks and power assemblies, for different application purposes in human, veterinary and industrial NDT fields.

The collaboration with several partners, worldwide leaders in their segment, also led Merate Power division to the development of dedicated projects, for the implementation of OEM, customized solutions, complying with specific needs, as well as with different working conditions and operating parameters.
